OK but is it still true if you can keep your diesel inboard for a long time, much more than an outboard, so you will have to spend a lot of money to change it before the guy with the inboard...

Is it possible to calculate the minimum power of an engine for a boat ?

Rib 7,5 meters, weight around 2800 kg without engine.
Are 200 hp enough ?

I dont no why but I thought lifespan was beter (aroud twice in my mind) and servicing costs were higher for the first years but cheaper after 4 or 5 years.

Could you tell me if I can expect a longer lifespan (time life ?) and a cheaper maintenance...
