Finished the Transom Rebuild!!!

Wet the ply with epoxy, then with thickened epoxy spread with a grout spreader all over. used slow hardener with the epoxy.

right ply is epoxied in, seems strong and without the glass on it does flex a little if you lean back really hard on it.

now to glass it with roving and epoxy but before i do....
with 18mm ply...

When i compare my floor with the below project photo it is different. i cut a hole in the floor centre to put a well in for a bilge pump, the flooding tube is directly under the floor with no space...

SR4 Transom

So i cut out the inner laminate to floor level unglue the tubes from the ends, chisel out the ply, make a new one with 12+18mm ply bonded together
and insert it, get my GRP expert to re-glass...

Typically, Her majestys tax officers are as useful as ever. The lady i spoke to didnt hesitate to advise that reclaiming duty for fuel used on an amateur dive club boat was completely legitimate....

It is perfectly ok for an amateur dive club to reclaim all vat and excise on all fuel used in the pursuit of diving.
So get your EX50 or HO50 forms and get...
