Seems to be a couple of 200hp’s available- my rib is rated 150hp however the weight of 200’s are well within :-(

Hi all
Any advice for fitting a bronze Davey plug to my rib, got fed up of the old plastic one slightly leaking - tried numerous different plugs but could never get one which was the correct thread...

150hp XL outboard

I’m on the lookout for a 150hp XL shaft outboard if anybody is selling or knows of something coming up.
Would prefer 4 stroke, merc/mariner/yam/Suzuki but consider others.
Or 150 Optimax 😉

Thanks, had a look. No mention of hours but looks clean :-) well within weight limit for transom too.
No real experience of yamaha HPDI but guess very similar to my optimax

I take my collie out with me, she doesn’t mind it. She likes to lean on the tubes and look out, she won’t jump off though. No marks on my tubes.

Thanks for the feedback and ideas, I don’t really want to drill through the transom to secure the aux, but liking the temp protection solution until I can get a more permanent one like Jeff’s made up...

Hi, just wondering how those of you with auxiliary engines secure them on the transom?
I’ve seen all the post about whether an aux is needed or not ;-) I’m in the “I have one” and happy with that....

For sure no extra thrust washer stuck on there, I actually think now that this is for a mercury above 135hp or bravo leg - due to the diameter :-(
