Mike, the all up weight of the boat is 2600kg and the weight of your two engines is 390kg. I think it will be fine on a boat of your length. Also dont forget you get a lot of bang for your buck...

It's a lot of boat it weighs nearly 4 ton and yes it does knock the waves out of the way!. It's wierd however when the bow does come up on a big wave as it's a high bow anyway and the sky just turns...

I'd certainly agree that the possibility of an explosion as a result of fire with a diesel would be much less likely. the reasons for the fire breaking out wouldn't be much different!
