Its on an avon r250 and yes it is a long shaft....
Its on an avon r250 and yes it is a long shaft. 22" i think the transom is 16" i did know it was long for the size of boat but didnt think it would make that much difference thought the prop was more...

Mercury saildrive outboard
I resently bought a 4 hp saildrive motor for my sib as it was going cheap on the bay ive changed the high thrust prop for a normal one but it still seems very slow even for a 4hp are the gearbox on...
