Well myself and a mate both have the Playtime 500 Ribeye with 80HP Yam 4-strokes. Tubes ARE HYPALON (I have the specification invoices to prove it)

We both have kids, and dogs and regularly go...

The reason they go so fast is 'cos they've got a 250HP :eek: lump on the back and a larger diameter prop. (Dont confuse pitch with size)

By the way, your prop pitch and size should be stamped on...

Checked with my mate and his Max RPM is in fact 5300 (lightly loaded)

Your calculations are spookily correct - My best speed ever is 36knts :eek:

I guess Gary must be getting 38-39 (I'm sure...

Myself and a mate have nearly identical boats and both have the Yam 4-stroke 80hp.

I have a 19K Pitch and he has a 21K Pitch.

Yam handbook suggests WOT range 5000-6000rpm

Depending on boat...

With 2 adults and 2 children can do 30-40miles cruising or a whole day w/boarding and towing inflatables..never use more than £30 of fuel.
