I would use the slip at Christchurch if the surf was up. Bit wary of the run. Alright going in, it's the coming out with an ebb tide and not sure of the sandbank. Got caught out on my kayak there....

Sorry but I think a lifeboat would be able to cope with a 3ft swell, 25mph wind and a moderate sea without putting the crew or anyone else at risk. Having written that those would not be acceptable...
