Why would you ever think running in gear was a good idea in a bucket! Even a small portable needs at least a wheelie bin to run/test...

Probably not, but if transom wheels are deeper than motor when deployed you can power up to the shore until wheels hit terra firma. Bleedin useful if beaching in any kind of surf.:thumbs:
