There should be more wires than that... a block...

There should be more wires than that... a block connector should be there assuming it's configured for 6Y5 gauges... which is what those pictured are... however I wasn't aware Yamaha made 50hp...

I would think harder than that would be ok as well; It's still EPDM; it's not like harder means it becomes a hard brittle sheet suddenly... in the end you're only trying to bend 18" over a 50cm dia...

Here... I'll make it even easier for you... they also have Neoprene which is (I thought) what the backside of Hypalon fabric is anyway... though EPDM is more durable I think... click here!...

Well; I got the tach in today... pulled off of eBay for $51... an old but seemingly unused analog Yamaha tach; no oil level, trim or anything... makes my Rib look like it was made in the 80s imho,...

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the LCD is half dead/ bleeding LC... and I'd rather have a new prop than dropping a couple of hundred on a new tach... wish I could do both...:( unfortunately...
