Yes they were made in NZ in the 90s just down the road from where i live. There are a lot of them still around, used as tenders, mostly about 2.6m long. Some have some kind of clever system to slide...

I've had a good look online and haven't found anything conclusive.
Most outboards about that size seem to have max revs of 5500...
