Becuse it feels very secure and I anly have the RIB on a trailer once or twice a year - only moving it for some few kilometers everytime. It does not seem to "unlike" the strapping.

I have a Chevrolet Tahoe V8 gasoline and a 8m Rib w/Inboard Diesel. A very good combination and the car is strong enough for pulling this boat in most thinkable situations.

Just bought a RayMarine C120 with sounder module and GPS. It works very nice for us. Not tested in 60 knots. Great screen, lots of features and settings. I am loving it !!!!!!!

It is very interesting to hear about what caused your problem. I would suggest to seal up all screw holes and all other wiring gates going trough the hull, but it seems like you already did that....
