not an expert , but on my mariner 4 hp 2 stroke when i turn off fuel ,to run carb dry it takes about three minutes to engine cut out ? hope this info helps , i am sure someone will come along and...

had my boat out for first time at the weekend everything was fine ,apart from ,when i opened it up [4 hp mariner 2 stroke ? ] -dont laugh,, the bow rose up ? i assume i am needing a little...

i,m using new fuel and 50-1 as advised couldnt get filler plug loose , but i got the top one loose ,inserted a little bit of string and seems to be full with nice clean oil , but will get it...

just to say when it was put to bed last year i ran the carb dry and emptied fuel tank when i ran yesterday it was fresh fuel-50-1 as advised .. hope that throws some light on problem

on starting my mariner 4 hp 2 stroke for the first time this year i ran engine in wheely bin? ,, however there was some fumes ,and the next morning the water level in bin was very oily around...
