A there such an event? I've no experience of boat racing but fancy doing something like it.

Bieny - I'd be up for a race :)

I'm not sure we'd be in the same class!
I'd be in up to 4.5m tiller engine class

Make sure you check your insurance before you do ! ;)

Ha, your right.

We would have to have a handicapped race of some sort and not call it a race.

Do they do orienteering type events, or treasure hunts or something like that. Id be up for any sort of boating entertainment.

Have you ever been round the IOW in your rib? If you haven't then for sure you will enjoy it more by cruising around and enjoying the sights and not holding on all the time for your dear life. There are a few good places to even stop for a good pub lunch

I have been around countless times over the years and would not want to race just too much to miss

Bieny 13 December 2013 01:00

I haven't been all the way around, I've stopped there for a picnic on the beach a few times.

Usually racing is way to exciting to worry about missing the view- unless it's F1, then the view is probably more interesting than the racing.
