Fears for missing millionairess, 65, who took out yacht on solo voyage despite warnings as wreckage is found off Cornish coast | Mail Online

Been all over VHF Channel Zero today. Lifeboats were coming from as far as Plymouth.
Very sad.

That article is so full of cobblers and cock ups you couldnt take any of it as fact. And I wouldnt like to pass judgement on her judgement without the real facts.

Mousehole marina

Selfish and stupid to ignore everyones advice and put all the rescue services at risk due to her impatience. I hope she is ok, but fear the worst, looking at the pieces they have found, the fibreglass bits look as though they might be structural. :(

Most of it concurs with what has just been broadcast on BBC local news.

Why would anyone with little experience go to sea in an unfamiliar boat at 18:30 solo and go around lands end.

Looking at the video I would of thought she would be sipping champagne

does not make sense or does it......

Why would anyone let her, you'd have the broker would have tipped off the coastguard he they were worried.

If an 18 yer old bought a Ferrari after passing test, same rules apply. You can't police stupidity or you become a nanny state.
