That is shite. Kick up a stink, there's a pile of 'em in the States and planes flying to and fro every day. :nonono:

Being still under warranty and all that. :whistling:

Trying to get one, but it's a bank holiday over there... BRP don't give a shite... Let's not go into the warrantee !!! ;)

Have you tried John Price at Quinquari in St Davids? They run a lot of those 250s and if it's a common fault, John may have the parts on the shelf.

So what's the "common" fault then?

Rokraider 29 May 2012 13:24

We have a couple of new E tec 115s on our new club RIBs. Both engines are leaking exhaust gas out from the joints where the leg extension is fitted leaving black smuts around the joint. Is this normal?
One of them has started playing up with less than 30 hours on it and keeps setting its overheating alarm off and going into limp home mode. The company that service the club RIBs have had a look and replaced 2 temperature sender units, but it hasn't cured the problem. It will set the alarm off after just a few minutes idling.
Is this a known fault?

Any advice would be welcome
