Big storm again

Can't sleep again - storm force 11 on it's way. Sounds like it's a 10 already!!! Do we EVER get a respite from it???

pretty windy down here too!

http://www.bramblemet.co.uk/(53ej0ez...)/Default.shtm

apparently there have been recorded wind speeds of 99 mph on the isle of wight over night!

glad my boat is tucked away indoors at the moment! the prospect of going out in a ferry doesnt appeal, let alone a small boat!

According to the BBC I'm in one of the worst areas and it's going to get worse before it gets better :( Glad I'm not on the coast.

The fence is down already. :(

Yup we've lost a couple of 6ft panels as well. Trouble is ours are the slot in type and until the wind dies down I don't fancy lift a 5ft by 6ft flat panel that far off the floor. One gust and it (and probably me as well) will be history.

Bl**dy annoying - not had the boat out once this winter :sick:

Must be bad - a 60,000 ton container ship has sunk south of the Lizard

fortunately they got everyone off!!!

A couple of roof skylite panels at the workshops have fallen victim of the wind, mind you they where pretty ropey before. Looks like a couple more will go before the end of day.

Our garden wall has blown away. Drove round to the top of Portsmouth harbour earlier and the water was blowing over onto the road. Some uni lectures have even been cancelled as the roof of one of the buildings has blow off!

If Portsmouth is taking a battering then it must be a good bit worse at Selsey.

Any one down there?

Andrew
