After consultation with the Principle of First Wave Powerbote Training I am firmly under the impression that my very important position of Chief Instructor (Southampton) would not be enhanced by entering into an iCom bashing situation.

He also went a little further and suggested I also must not attack Ribeye's no more neither, as this would estrange possible customers also. These two issues have become part of my Key Performance Indicators for my annual appraisal.

He went on to point out that my comments have upset a lot of Ribeye and iCom owners in the past and that showed a great deal of insensitivity on my part. So I would like to offer my sincere apologies to all Ribeye and Icom owners , (apart From Dino) that I have upset, having now realised that Icom Radios are perfectly matched to Ribeye Boats.

I also realised that iCom owners are a very sensible lot as none of you took that bet, including I may add WhiteShoes!

About 4 weks ago Whiteshoes son told me they were having trouble selecting channels!

Whiteshoes comfirmed today that they have an intermittent problem with the channel selection.

Is that OK for you Mr. Manning

That's fine with me. mate. I wouldn't dream of placing a gagging order on anyone.

As it happens, this weekends advanced students are Ribeye owners. To avoid the possibility of friction, I'll pass them on to another instructor.

Do not despair though. I have found you alternative employment antifouling a 50ft yacht. While you're doing this you can muse on the difference between the words 'principle' and 'principal'.
