Hi Ukee. I saw your post from 2018 on exploring west coast with your family in a highfield.
We purchased a Highfield 640 last season and have been using it for boat camping with our young family in the salish sea - we keep the boat in Sechelt.
I'm planning on tripping out to the west coast this summer and am looking for some ideas. Our friends recently purchased property in Hotsprings Cove and we might base out of there. I'm also quite interested in visiting the broken and deer groups but wonder how a motor boat will be recieved in those areas?
I'm also looking to better outfit our boat - i notice you have a ladder off the bow? Any ideas for locations and/or key pieces of gear would be appreciated.
Lastly, I don't have much experience in swell. Have you tried accessing any of the exposed beached in your area? Anchoring and swimming to shore?
If you're willing, I am always looking for support as we transition from kayakers to boaters.
