Hi Mc1. Thanks for replying to my post. Unfortunately your RIB is to big for me as I launch/recover single handed and want to store the boat in my garage when not in use.
Thanks again Andy

Humber Assault 4.5m

Hi Andy,
I have a 4.5m Yellow Humber Assault ( like the one on front of the Ribnet). Tubes are in very good condition and don't lose air. The engine is a Yamaha 50hp. I've been using her as a safety boat for my sons sailing. Essentially it runs well at high speed doing a good 30mph however runs slightly rough at idling speed. My mechanic guy reckons it is losing some compression and given the symptoms is likely that the rings need replacing. It's one of those things that could be lived with for a while yet but given that issue I would take £4800 for it. Let me know if interested and I will send pictures etc. Des

Hi Des
Thanks for the reply. Please send me some pictures via private rib net message or my private email which andy41.palmer@googlemail
Did your mechanic say how much it would cost to repair?
Whereabouts are you based?
Thanks Andy
