Wanted - Good Family RIB 5-6m

Looking out for a 5-6m family RIB, secure side-by-side seat arrangements. 90-100hp. Good quality, up to 10yrs old. With trailer. Would consider Ribeye, Avon, Zodiac, Rib-X or similar. Devon/Cornwall but prepared to travel. Budget c£10k.

Thank you!

Just put my Zodiac Pro Open 550 up for sale, seems to match your criteria pretty well...

Welcome to the forum.

You're under-budget by about £6k for a 6m rib with side by side jockeys and under 10 years old. I'll keep an eye out though.

Came across this. Ribeye is in nice condition but needs a bigger engine. Might be okay until funds allow. Similar with Ribcraft.

Mate bought his 10 year old Ribeye 6.5 with 150Yam for 11.5K so I don't think he's 6K off budget. Maybe a wee bit low.

It's maybe a bit of a mistake to put a firm "ten year old" barrier on a boat rather than look at it's condition. Mine is 17 years old and and I've seen plenty of ribs half it's age that I wouldn't do a straight swap for.

I think people new to this tend to try and draw comparisons with cars because that's what they're familiar with and would probably be surprised at how old some ribs, in regular use, are.

Probably because the engine is usually a similar vintage, but good point.
