I wouldn't bother with the Humber A frame.

Mine cracked in 4 places. Humber's response to the problem was very poor.

You can have a much better frame fabricated for a lot less than you would pay for the Humber effort.

Mine was fitted by Humber when new. Four bolts through the transom and a couple of self tappers in the floor. Not very impressive.

Thanks for that Dr Doof I am going to the Boat Show today to look at them all close up and have a really good poke around

I agree with fabricating items yourself. I have sourced a place to fabricate a double A Frame, cheaper £110 VHF etc, even seat boxes if it came to it, as you say you can fit out the boat much cheaper if you buy most of the stuff yourself. Have to say If I had the money It would be a lot easier to buy a bespoke product already done without the hassle of fitting it all Warranties may also be affected if you start bolting your own stuff on but i'll check that out today.....

Well had a good poke around the RIBs today and the Humber looked equal in quality, A frame was bolted on, transom equal to others, build quality equal etc etc. For the price they are a good deal. 3K cheaper than a Ribcraft for the same low spec minus engine etc for instance, they may not have Ribcrafts finishing touches but for me trying to keep the costs down on a product that isn't exactly value for money (you can buy a whole car for 7K ) I appreciate the lower costs I would find it very hard paying much more than 8k for a GRP hull and tubes - walking back past a car dealership on the way out puts things into perspective

I went to buy a rib and negotiated on this humber with the guy from Humber Ribs. Very helpful, and gave me the brochures and details so I contacted their sales team on Monday morning....

A bit disappointed TBH.

They said the full price (for the whole package) at the boatshow is around £23k. So we negotiated with their sales department, first of all too much variations in price from what they quote and what has been mentioned on their website. The website price is much lower compared to what I got in an email.

Eventually I managed to get a better deal (how in just 2min the whole sales team changed their mind....I don't know), but they suddenly said: Oh we can only sell you this package at that price without the GPS/Plotter (costs nearly £2k) and was installed/shown on the rib when we first saw the rib (see the picture).

I could not understand how they justify their prices, I even asked for the price of just the rib and hull and it was actually cheaper to buy a rib (same size, same colour) with a single console seat on it than buying just a hull+tube...!!!

Not a happy potential customer....and I walked away! [does anyone care really!???]

Looks good in black. I like the dual console and the seating arrangement, very family friendly.

price seems pretty reasonable.

Vandad, didn't you see the 5.85m/140HP all singing and dancing Ribquest up for 22K (usually 28K!) It would be worth giving them a call - they can tell you why it is such a bargain but it has probably gone by now!! 2 only where available at that price... Buy it and sell it in 3-4 years time for the same money you paid for it. It was very plush if you like comfy bench seats, full width console with front seat, gadgets, A frame etc Somebody will have picked up a lot of boat, no good for me, It has to be ORANGE

How about a 2007 Joker Rib. Its 6m in length, comes with covers, cushions, a-frame etc. Powered by a 2007 150 Verado which has 60 hours on it and full service history. All work done by myself including a full service last week. Boat is sitting on a single axle roller trailer.

Asking is; £17,000.

Not sure I'd class 238 hours on a 5 month old boat as "low"

Nice boat, even so :-)

I was reffering to the All Black one for around 20k,(which I have driven) in the For sale section...Which may fit the criteria perfectly,AND Stored at Poole. ''Conttentment'' is a nice package though, with a very high spec!

Glad your sorted The Riquest's look like nice Boats and have a good rep,the best of luck with her!..What area do you cruise? For myself Being only 30 mins from ''The Dream Factory'' in Yeovil and haveing watched thier Metioric climb from humble beginings (At the risk of upsetting Mr Redbay) I must proffess to be a ''Died in the Wool'' Ribcraft fan,and looking forward to a 6.8. in Spring.
