Searching...

I'm looking for a RIB with the following rough spec, finding a good boat isn't very easy.

Budget around 20K
5.8 - 7.0 m
Seating for 6. Ideally side by side layout.
No more than 10 years old.
Outboard powered with auxy or room to fit and carry one.
No big engine hours/anti foul/charter or club used boats.
Trailer

Any pointers appreciated.
Thanks
John

There’s a huge difference between a 5.8m boat & a 7m boat. 6 pax on a 5.8 will be cosy. 6 pax on a 7m boat could have a dance. £20k will buy you a lot of boat in the 5.8-6m class, less so at the 7m end.

Yes it's unlikely I'd be getting near 7m but it's just to see what might be available, 6.4 Ribcraft or equivalent would be ideal..

A 6.5 Redbay should also be on your watchlist.

I'm sure I saw a 6.5 with twins on for sale around North Wales somewhere recently. Can't find the ad now though.

Also worth mentioning that theres a big difference between *seating* for 6 and a rib that will accommodate 6. Not many 6 - 6.5m boats with proper seats for 6.
