Looking for a Ribcraft 585

Hi,

Looking for a 585, noted a few on brokers have them priced extremely high for age and engine type/hours. Aware of brand and also New price so cannot see some of these moving. Is there any sensible private sales out there?

Thanks

Ha ha ,new is the way to go ,had price at southamptom and makes some of the old uns ,about look a bit ambitious , not sure what planet they are on ,the boats may be good for a lifetime ,but that doesnt include engines and trailers . xs 6 metre sport was offered very favourable to 5.85 too , 6" wider and personally i like the engine well area on the xs sport model

I don't agree with that at all, new is the only way to go IF A) you can afford it, B) you can't find something suitable at a reasonable price used.

I've never ordered a new ribcraft (was discussing build dates when my 6.8 came up so I got close) but I have the original receipt for my 6.8 and let's just say someone lost a couple of quid.

Well i have to admit i too would be keen to find a nice nearly new example at a reasonable saving too new ,but theres not many come up ,i admit a couple have been thru boats and outboards recently but those that have been there for 3 months or so , are possibly too expensive

Just because they are still on boats and outboards doesn't mean they haven't sold, infact on that site them being advertised doesn't mean they were ever for sale! Scammers paradise.

Yes you are misunderstanding

All I'm saying is because a boat is on that site doesn't mean it hasn't sold, boats and outboards is the UK equivalent of my Nigerian auntie has left you 10 million in diamonds, send us 1000 quid to release them.

Keep on it...looking...AND doing you're research/homework....then you'll KNOW what a good deal looks like! WHEN ( not everyone does) it comes up...and it will
and remember everything is negotiable
