just acquired avon redseal - advice please

Today I became the proud owner of my first sib a vintage Avon Redseal. can anyone tell me if it is necessary/possible to make a floor for my new boat.

It would appear that a floor is necessary if I want it to plane.. I have no outboard yet and am looking at a suzuki 3.5hp short shaft - would this be man enough ?

Also , there is no mounting bracket for an outboard any ideas ??

All advice welcome excuse my naivity

floor 4 Avon redseal

Excuse my ignorance not only am I new to sibs but also to this forum I have now found out some information from older similar posts. I have decided to investigate the idea of making a 4 section floor using some of that sponge filled board they use for signage and then trying to source some "h" section plastic channel to keep it all together...

Stilll .... any thoughts and ideas are most welcome .
