Capable 5.0 m - 7.0m rib wanted.

Hi All,
I am looking for a very capable 5.0 m - 7.0m rib with a 90 hp +, preferrably 4 stroke engine. I want the boat for the 'Round Ireland Challenge' in July and would like to get it as soon as I can. Regardless of age hull, tubes, engine and trailer should be in good condition and capable of finishing the proposed 8 days. I know I am asking alot considering my budget is approx. £5500. Let me know what you have, no time wasters please as I will be travelling from Ireland with the view to picking up whatever fits the bill. I am also open to any advise all you experts out there can give me.
Regards, Finnrib.

Osprey XR20

Hi All,
I know of an Osprey XR20 for sale. Hull and tubes in good condition with a Mercury XR6 150hp 2 stroke on the back. What is the general opinion on this boat ? What are the good and bad points ? Would it be able for 'Round Ireland Challenge' ? Is it any good in the rough stuff ? Is outboard (not sure of year) reliable ? It has a leaking stainless steel tank. Is this expensive to repair/change ? Any info on this boat would be appreciated. Finnrib.

The Osprey XR20 is a good hull the egine would be my main concern on a boat for that money, also electronics etc. If you want to go round Ireland in it I would strip it back and rewire it and make sure the fuel system is up to spec. I would also give the engine a thorough check over and service.

Over budget, but its been on sale for a while, so you never know. Cracking Yammie 90hp outboard with no fuss deck area. Was retubed back in 2006.

You're going to sell that for the OP's budget of £5,500?

I'll have 4...

Wasn't my post to start with, but it was worth it on the off chance!
