Camel trophy rib wanted

Hi there,

I am looking for a ex camel trophy rib preferably still kitted out. If also own the 4x4 with it potentially interested as well or if the landy is a G4 spec too. Hope you guys can help me, Many Thanks!

I have seen many going between £4,000 - £9,000 depending on engine hours/ condition/ trailer and extras that have been added.

Think I went to see that at JBT when it was for sale in 2006, I think it may have beena press boat, but not sure now after something Biffer told me... I think that was the reason for the missing rear jockey seat and the midships only A frame

I,ve never seen one go for £4000 £7000 maybe If youve seen one for £4000 i bet it needed a new engine

I call all my Boats after Song names

My Camel RIB was called 'Wont get Fooled Again' .

Don't do it the A frames are very high maintenance and the engines are gutless. Hull and tubes are OK though

I have a 1982 series 3 camel trophy kitted 88", again if the price was right i may be interesten in selling. A bit of info though, it has had a 4" suspensoin lift and all round pro comp shocks and springs, kam lock diff locks, snorkle, and now has mini monster truck tyres. Due to the 42" tyres the arches have been cut by about 5". it also has a 200 tdi discovery engine with intercooler and turbo, cb radio, built in satalite phone, garmin gps, cobra racing bucket seats and 5 point racing harnesses. Also has a couston interior roll cage.

Incidentally, there was a camel RIB on a mooring outside Porthgain harbour (without A frame / overframe) yesterday. Haven't seen it there before, know there are some RIB netters here who use the harbour...does it belong to anyone on here?

PS the vis was nearing 20m inside Strumble (no exaggeration!) one of the party reckoned it was better than he had had in Croatia a few weeks ago!
