Budget £30 to 50k although in this climate it would need to be outstanding value for me to spend the upper end of this budget.
I was in the same position last year, was running 6.6 / 150hp and wanted to upgrade to a 8m. Ended up with a Stingher 800 gt with a 300 verado hung off he back. Been extremely pleased with the boat, brilliant build quality, handles very well and fast. Massive storage areas and a large bow sun deck. I'd buy another one tomorrow , Ed at MRL Southampton is the importer. Good luck with your hunt!

saying this petrol is not an issue in the Solent

In the meantime here are some photos of the Parker 800 Baltic. The engines are the best in their class and very good on fuel. I had an opportunity to test this rib last year and was pleasantly surprised how good they were.

Let me know what you think? I will write a short specification with price later
Is this boat for sale?

I too got a Stingher 800 last year with a 300 on the back. Love it!
Agree with Lee A's comments, loads of room and storage.

I looked at the Stingher 800 at yesterdays Sandbanks Boat show, very nice but anew one is now £76,000 and too expensive. A second hand one seems rare.

I went for a ribeye 785 in the end. Had been using a friend's 8m Cougar for years went to the boat show and was blown away by the amount of space in a slightly smaller rib
but better layout. Shift as well with a 300 on the back. Good build quality as well.

I have a 8.75m Scorpion Rib, with an inboard diesel engine for sale... it is currently on the hard at Opal Marine, at Chichester Marina... its a great boat, don't really want to sell it! (But I have a Windy in Lymington and can't justify two power boats).

Well equipped, low hours, 2007... and inside your target range!
