5.8m - 6.5m <£8,000

Hi there,

I've just had an engine failure on my Searider that means I need to repower. When I first got the boat it was great - but it turns out that my family enjoy it too so I might take the opportunity to change to something slightly more fit for this new purpose as well. The main use is still as a support and coach boat, though, hence my requirements.

I'm looking for a 5.8m - 6.5m boat ideally with a good hull form for the sea, so a ribcraft, humber (not assault), delta, osprey type of boat ideally. I'm not too keen on valiants or apexs.

I'd ideally like double jockeys, side by side or in line, or a delta triple. I don't mind looking at other layouts but having the driving position at the back is no good for me, likewise having a single seat unless the price allows me to change this.

I'm not precious about single or twin outboards (mindful of budget) but I'd really like 4-strokes. The only 2s I'd consider are Yamaha, tohatsu or optimax with a service record.

I'd like a trailer but again am mindful of the budget so I don't desperately need one. Providing I have a way of getting it to Cornwall in the first place I'm ok!

I'm also not bothered if a boat has been well used providing that it's been looked after.

Has anyone got anything in mind?!

Thanks, as always, for your help.

Paul

how's your storage space and tow vehicle. there's a big jump in overall size between a 5.8 and a 6.5 not just 70cm in length just bigger everywhere

Thanks, beerbelly. No problem with either.
