Zodiac in the local news

I was asked if I had any training on how to get people off a burning yacht that was still under power and headed toward rocks. I told the reporter that I am a rookie when it comes to boating but I have spent many nights on youtube watching RNLI and coast guard videos I made sure she stated that it was a RIB I used. Yesterday really reminded me of how cool these inflatables are. Being able to solidly get up next to another boat, having huge forgiving tubes so people can easily board without getting banged up, and having insane weight capacity. At one point all 9 people on board were on one side of the boat and the Rib was amazingly steady with very little lean.

There were several other boats around but it appeared that nobody wanted to get too close as the boat was headed quickly toward the rocky part of the shoreline. My cousin Jim jumped on their boat and helped the seven onto the Rib. It was more intense after the fifth passenger, when the smoke was real thick and burning our eyes. My cousin was the last one off their boat and everyone was fine. Over all a good day as nobody was injured and I still brought home some dinner.

Hats off to you both. Say whatever about your RIB, but it took two men who were determined to help to save the day.

If you tough about a RIBnet Hall of Fame were outstanding achievement can be recorded, I think you have two fellows that should be there.
