your help please?

As with many people, i am getting a little narked about the rain in this place and the fact its almost end of July and we can count the sunny days on one hand!

I am planning a retrun trip for the new boat from Poole on Friday. I really want to delivery it by water rather than on trailer so if we all cross our fingers maybe just maybe the weather will break and give us some decent boating weather!

Grib is forecasting W4 (noon friday) becoming SW3 (3pm) becoming SW2 (9pm)

So you could be in with a chance, but with this summer - you have to wonder how accurate any forecast is for 96 hours ahead.

Good luck anyway. Be safe! Theres always another day - you only get one life.

Well, it's gales Wednesday and Thursday on the south coast, so I hope it's blown itself out by Friday... looks like the low pressure will have filled by then. Best thing about a passage back from Poole it that you're likely to have the wind behind you, and if you plan carefully you can do the passage at slack water.

Just done Southampton-Poole-Southampton this weekend accompanied by one of Blue Ice's siblings and had a fantastic time, although we did get caught out in a huge rain storm on the way in to Poole on Saturday.

Hope you have a fantastic trip Howard - let us know how it goes

Yer this weather is something else! i keep thinking that soon we may get a warm spell but it just aint happening. The forecast for the next 10 days isn't brilliant either, quite depressing really

Thanks all.

My fingers are still crossed tho as you all rightly say, the forecasters simply dont know!!

I am not prepared to beat ourselves up. me + Girlfirend and one other just for the sake of deliverying by sea. if the weather is bad or looks bad i will simply bring it back on trailer!

Maybe afternoon / ebening is better option. also means i can go get hammered in the pub on Thursday night to celebrate!
