Your chance to put your money where your mouth is...

I've just been flicking through the latest (Dec/Jan) edition of RIB International and spotted the following advertisement:

FOR SALE! RIB MOULDS

Hulls and floors and many other parts. Back up plugs. Patterns and production notes for GRP mouldings and Inflatable collars for a range of 15 RIB lengths and 30 models and layouts from 8ft 6 to 33ft. Raw stock, parts, fixings and fastenings, machines, hand tools and Health and Safety eqpt. Point of sale and Exhibition equipment.

One month's free tuition on all aspects of building, tenders, sports tenders, sailing tenders, ski RIBs, sports RIBs, dive RIBs, commercial RIBs, patrol RIBs, fast pursuit RIBs, endurance RIBs, cabin and race RIBs. Inboard models from 18ft. The lot + a VW LT 50 crew cab for £90k ono. For sale as one lot.

Currently valued and insured at £160k

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what do you reckon? We all go on about the positives and negatives of the different RIB brands available and the changes we'd like to see. Well here's a chance to make it happen. All it would take is 9 people with a spare £10k each, or 5 people with £18k each, or... You do the Maths!! Oh, and if someone's got some premises...

Is this the opportunity you've been waiting for - the chance to show the existing manufacturers how it's done?

Yeah can you just image it with all the experts on here throwing there oar into the melting pot, for Gods sake we cant even agree on a colour let alone, engines, seats, consoul etc we'd be fighting from day one, MeMe would want his sun deck and Lord Davies his gun rack, TD5 would want a fridge freezer and Richard B a drinks cabinet, before you know it we'd be building a cabin boat....God forbid
