Yet another pump question.

I'm looking for an electric pump for my boat but I've got a bit of a power restriction in that it'll have to be powered by my cigarette lighter socket on the boat-my battery is a pain in the neck to get to. I think I've narrowed it down to the smaller Bravo. Any comments on this versus other electric pumps and power consumption?

My Bravo BST 12 HP is rated at 20A. The Bravo BST 12 at 15A.

Thanks David,

All I could find online was the 'average draw' on the Bravo BST 12 at 9a and the Rule being 25a. I need to have a rethink.

I took the other option and uprated my ciggie socket to a Magcode Pro socket rated at 25A.

Could you not set up a flying lead direct from the battery like I did?

Just realised-I don't need to even use the lighter socket. I can croc clip onto the starter solenoid. Hopefully the lead is long enough....
