I had her opened up for a few blasts at the end of the two hour initial run in.
She needs more weight up at the bow to balance the boat better, hit a few small waves at speed and I thought the bow was going to take off. A bit more weight shifted up the bow will calm down this behaviour and make it easier to get up on the plane.
Its the niggly set up stuff now and finishing off.

I'll get this boat finished and in thw water eventually, is there an award for the longest time to put a RIB together?
Started to put the flooring in this week after some week of doing nothing. Its all in now bar two small 4" x 4" bits that I will put in tomorrow once the larger sections around it dry.
The seat pads are ready and will be picked up this week, most of the electronics are connected with just a few minor bits and bobs to tidy up and connected the NMEA 0183 for the VHF input.
With some reasonable weather it should be launched and ready to go somewhere next weekend with the only major part missing being the stainless backrests.
A good clean to remove 4 months of dirt from all the building work is on the card, shes filthy!
I am hoping to get a couple of trips in by the end of september, anybody fancy Inverie for dinner and a trip to Canna or Eigg some weekend?
I also have to get that trip up into Glasgow sorted

The usual, glue gets everywhere!
I hate doing it so have been putting it off but once cleaned up and tidied it should be OK.
I fitted full treadmaster on my old boat and did it again because, though expensive, it seems to last and take punishment.
I still have lots of "fussy bits" to complete as well as reckon it will be at least several months more before they are all done but it should be usable by next week hopefully.

Ta Da! Launched for the first time
(apart from the slow speed running in around the bay with nothing bar the outboard connected) and away for a run. Still pretty bow light but very much more comfortable, drier and more stable than the Assault I had as well as being larger.
Little bit slower than I had hoped for but not much. Tops out at 32knts and will cruise at 28knts at 1.2kn/miles per litre with 60l of fuel, two folk and a dog on board. At 25knts I can return 1.3kn/miles per litre, a considerably improvement on the 22knts at 1 kn/mile per litre I used to get but sadly swallowed up the the huge increase in fuel costs
It was a bit lumpy today as the wind was up over the last couple of days so popped out and along to Connel and up Loch Etive and back, about 25 miles or so, and then popped in to Dunstaffnage marina for a slice of bread and butter pudding before recovering back in Oban.
No real hitches, transducer was missing the bottom at speed but reckon it just needs adjustment to point slightly down and few electronic setup bits that I did while the other half was driving.
Just need the seat backs and the spares boxes I have ordered and we are ready to go, looking forward to the Clyde in a fortnight............

As complete as its going to be..........

Today was the first real run so time to finish off this thread. Still waiting for the searchlight and a couple of minor electrical jobs to finish off but she is as good as finished.
I really need to clean her properly and get some polish on the tubes and possibly get some wear patches on the tube tops, the dogs getting older and his claws are getting longer meaning he marks them up quite badly as he hops around.
There are things I would do differently I was building her again but overall she does what I wanted her to do and, like all Humbers, may not be the prettiest boat on the water but should take the abuse of diving and dogs pretty well.
Now saving up for a 115 or 140 Suzi for next year sometime as the 90 was always intended to be a temp measure cos it was cheap. I feel the need, the need for more speed!
