Yamaha or Mercury /Mariner 60hp

Hi everyone. I'm in a bit of a dilemma, after having my Yamaha outboard stolen my insurance company require a like for like quote. However they need a second quote for a cheaper outboard. On my insurance I specified £5500 for outboard which falls short for a yamaha but will cover me for a mercury. What's the forums views on this outboard. I would hopefully be getting a 2019 model outboard, but my old outboard was 12 years old. All comments welcome. Thanks for reading

If you got a 12 year old outboard nicked and your insurance company are buying you a brand new model, I reckon that’s a result for you [emoji108]

In my view mercury/ mariner/Tohatsu and Yam are all as good as each other with possibly Yam having a slightly better reputation which is probably not fully deserved
