Yamaha flush/ Side mount
can anybody help on this one, in this side mount which is new, is there a right and left hand mount, part number and pics supplied, im guessing there is a different one as flat out throttle is down where reverse throttle should be, by the looks of it,there is no swap over facility like a 703 box.
i have the yamaha brochures and there is not a different part number for the box, just one part number!
6x348206-01-00
or
do you swap all the gubbins inside

The Yam control boxes are available as 'push to open' or 'pull to open' throttle mechanisms. Is this the problem?

DD its a push to open unit but when tried its a pull to open,
for example, when trial mounted, one section engages the gear which is correct, as you push the throttle forward it only gives you 1 inch of movement,
when you pull towards you (eg reverse) it gives the approx 3 inches of travel
so looks like it is reversed<
But surely Yamaha would give a different part number for left or right fitment??
lookig at the last picture, is it feasable to swap it over??

Looks like you need to dismantle, reverse and refit the linkage lever on the top trunnion. There's a couple of holes tapped into the opposite side to accept it. Would this solve it?

im thinking that that is the way to go,if i were to mount it on the left hand side, it would be perfect... im just trying to work out the physics of it before £250 worth of springs ,washers and widgets go flying across the house

Having looked at it more closely, it definitely looks reversible - I reckon you'll get it sorted in half an hour.
Dismantle it inside a fully zipped up tent. You'll then be able to recover all the bits.
