Yamaha 480R - YAM 480R

I've got the chance of a Yamaha 480R with a Yamaha 50HP PTT for £3750 ono on a bunked trailer. Any views or comments on the rib? its in fairly good condition just needs a good clean. I have to make a decison in the next 24 hours. Would appreciate any views from present or past owners of Yamahas..

I remember reading some reviews in the magazines back in 1999 and they were mainly good, well built and comfortable for the family etc, only a medium vee hull though if i remember rightly but thats ok if you don't intend to do offshore cruising. The price sounds good three and a half grand gets you on the water in comfort and the yam 50 is a top engine

Did the 80 mile Llyn cruise in may on my yam. Smallest there and last boat back but safe as houses on it. Even through Bardsey sound.
Had mine 10 months not had any issues yet.
And they look good for a small rib. If you want some pics let me know.
