XS Ribs - Dreamin again ....

Can anyone tell me if the XS 500 as supplied by Barnet Marine has a deep V Hull.

In the catalogue it is described as a variable V-Hull. Which doesn't exactly mean a lot.

I,ve searched the threads on this site and haven't come up with any info.

Does any one have a 5 M XS Rib and can they explain.

I'm off to Barnet next week, so I'll ask them but I guess I probably won't get a clear answer. They'll probably say its the best all round hull shape because they want to sell them.

What I really want to know is that it has a proper Deep V hull and is capable of replacing my Searider so any help would be appreciated.

And even pics of the hull taken from the engine end.

I was looking at the Humber Assault as that is a good price, but after reading the threads on here that doesn't have a deep V Hull, although the catalogue says it has.

Nick,
not sure about the 500 as I think narrower beam than my 550.
But here they are anyway if it helps.

They look like what's commonly described as a "warped V" which is a shape that works very well in rough seas.
