www.motox.lt - Has anyone ever imported from these guys?

Hi

I am looking for a 60 or 70 hp two stroke Yamaha. These guys are advertising well priced engines but I am in UK and they are obviously not! Lithuania is too far to pick up in person.

Any suggestions/experience would be very useful.

Thanks

I think you will find all you need to know on this thread http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...ighlight=motox

Stay well clear by the sounds of them, unless you want it to cost a massive amount more in the long run.

No worries, there not always that easy to find. Still at least it saves you wasting all your money as well as risking your safety if you get stuck out at sea....

Look, they are not even very competitive! just do a quick search on Ebay and Boatsandoutboards, you will see a lot of decent 2nd hand outboards where you can go and see the engine, check it etc.

They want £2.3k for a 30hp outboard, which is 2nd hand and 2stroke! and £125 for delivery, and I Suppose at least another £300 for controls etc.. so you will be paying nearly £3k.

Honda (which is the most expensive make of outboard in the UK) gives a BRAND NEW 30hp FOUR STROKE for just £4k with all guages, controls, cables, etc.

Now! which one would you go for?!
