personally I didn't think the avon he originally looked at was a bad price. Just might not be what is really required, I agree it is a bit of a yacht tender. Nonetheless it is and avon with a decent motor at a reasonable price...

Sorry....

What do you want to use the boat for, what boats are you used to?

Scrub that, just read your previous posts.

What would you call a slight chop? What sort of fletchers have you owned?

I've had a 14ft Fletcher with a 60hp, a 15ft Fletcher with an 80hp and an 18.5ft Monterey with a 4.3l v6 inboard. All were used for cruising around and skiing. I live near Margate, when the sea looks calm it usually isn't but I dont intend on going out in rough seas...

How about this ?

That looks like a reasonable package, it will be good for around 30knots with that motor so not as fast as you are used to but will handle and chop better than a sports boat. I think those 2 stroke Selva motors are OMC, but not sure, I know the newer four strokes are yamaha based.

If you do a search on 'Avon Adventure 4m', then you may find some info on the boat listed in post 1. Avon didn't brand them 'Adventure' back then, but it's the same boat.
Blackroady on here has one with a Yam 4-stroke. May be worth asking him - I recall he quite likes it for pottering about on.
Problem with 4m RIBs is the lack of deck space, especially when they're rigged as this one is. If you could find something nearer 5m, then you'll probably find it better suits your requirements.
