Apparently Delta's chief designer now works for MST, along with another couple of guys from Delta, and he highly recommends their product, which he believes are even better finished than Deltas.

Now the problem is, as has been mentioned already, Delta (and likely MST) are very expensive boats. Is the commercial build and quality worth all the extra expense and will the re-sale values of their boats reflect this? That is the big question, and one I'm struggling with at the moment. I've been quoted a whopping 70K for a Delta SX840 with Yamaha 422 diesel, and that doesn't include a trailer!!!

Talking of chaps from Wales - have you talked to Quinquari and Ocean Dynamics yet?

I spend most of my water-borne life on Quinquari 10m RIBS (150 miles on one today!), they are great Commercial boats, but not ideally set up for personal cruising.

Ocean Dynamics are also superb boats, but boy, do they cost a packet!

Whoops silly me - if I had bothered to look at your boat type I would have guessed!!!

You may like to have a word with Celtic Marine in Swansea - they are building some boats for Avon - saw 2 stunning 8.4ms getting ready to be sent out to Oman.

Bet they aren't cheap either though!!!
