Winterising my year old etec 90

Whats the collective view folks ? whats the best method ? .. dont want to get started next year with a duff injector or something ? .. It will be dry stored inside my shed.

Despite my many years of various outboard ownership , Ive never owned an etec, so would welcome your views

yup, so simple to do, it's no biggie if you want to take her out for a mid-winter cruise & redo it again after.

Did mine at the weekend. I always have to 'You Tube' the procedure, 'coz I never remember.

For an 'all winter' lay up, I take the mid section plastics off and rinse the lot, powerhead 'an all. Get the dehume in to dry out whole rig, then a misting of Wurth Ultra 20-40 around the vitals. A slop of fuel stabilizer in the tank, disconnect battery and attach battery conditioner. I have one conditioner which I rotate between VM, SR4 and mower throughout the winter. Too tight to buy three.

You can do the maths if you like. I went to Penryn School, so I'm ferked on that one.

Some say that you should brim the tank to prevent condensation forming in the tank. I tend to check and change water sep. filter after the first run up of the new season.

Muz, you don't need a laptop. You can do it via the throttle or through the Icommand gauges if you have the latest version. Store as vertical as poss so the gear case drains of any water.

.....sh1t happens.......
