Blue loctite ,,, unless anyone knows any different. Correct torque and not over-tightened which can be an issue apparently.

Three winter jobs on the Revenger.

Finish re-wiring. I did the battery and bilge pump wiring last winter to ensure the boat could be used safely. I now need to make a neater job of the instrument wiring.

Get the fuel gauge to read correctly. I bought a new gauge last summer but that made no difference so I need to access the sender and isolate where the problem lies.

Remove the cheap non-slip paint a previous owner applied to the deck. This has been slowly removing itself so looks very patchy. Any suggestions on how to do this? I am cautious about applying paint stripper because of the hypalon tubes and rubber seals.

The most important job is looking forward to getting back on the water!

Stripping, and re-spraying power trim motor (again) as seems prone to corrosion!

Building a removable DIY rear bench seat with decent cushions for mrs and todler to use.

Removing forward deck flood light and fitting to house as a garden flood light instead.

Thorough clean and polish of tubes to remove grease from mooring chains earlier this year.

Add junction box for A frame Nav lights and fit new port / stbd lights.

*sighs* I have fought the good fight and am weary at the thought of yet another season harvesting Barney McCools

I'm looking forward to the extra 20kts though...

Well it started by me showing her a triple jockey seat I was hoping to buy, then her saying she wanted a bench. I don't really like the idea hence the result being a) easily removable, b) very cheap c) useable as a garden bench of sorts when it gets permanently left off the rib.

Its work in progress made from 18mm ply and part of a pallet. Its pretty rough to be fair. I installed it today for a trial fit and was surprised how easy it was to fit (<2 min) and how solid it was. Cushion material should arrive tomorrow.

Anyone wants pics for laughing purposes then maybe I'll put on separate post? I'm sure I've seen similar things in the past

Finally got round to the various jobs ,,, and reeds done 😊 Much easier than I thought. Razor bill ,, your mailbox is full so I can't send you a PM. It's red loctite to use and got good advice on lapping the rubber coated cages from BBC Boards. Links if you need them , unless you're ahead of me 😊

Harking back to post #9.......

I had my prop and skeg repaired by my local Yamaha dealer before I put her to bed for the winter but with Spring ( momentarily ) in the air yesterday , I made a start on replacing the original Garmin Fishfinder 160 ( an original fitting so approx 15 years old ) .

I was horrified at the state of the transponder cable which had morphed into a set of mini-intestines for about 3 metres ( but delighted that even so , I managed to use it a s a pull-through for the new transponder cable ) . Just the console end to sort out now when Spring returns.......

Well that was good timing to sort that out, rather than mid summer or even worse it failed. 😳

I'm on with sitting a proper fixing location for O2 and fitting a auxiliary engine bracket. 😐 taking my time putting the first holes in tho ! 😂
