will this combo plane

hi will a quicksilver 340 air keel + 10hp {2 stroke} +2 adults plane if so what speed ,or am i better with a 15 hp 2 stroke.

TT - this is a guess (as I don't have that combination).

The air keel is very light, which is in its favour and its not a bad hull shape either if you get enough air into it. Plus the 2-stroke isnt likely to weigh anything like as much as a four.

Hence I would be prepared to make a small wager that it will plane. At what speed I have no idea!

But there is no doubt at all that it will plane better with a 15hp!!

used to have a 3.1m or 3.4m (I forget) zodiac with a 9.9 mariner.
it planed with a family of 5, two adults, 3 kids (12, 11, 4)

no idea how fast though
