Seriously though Magnum, it may seem like a lot of dough now, but they are close to being essential and it wouldn't help the residual when you came to sell it should it not have one. Someone would end up knocking you back the price of an A Frame. There's no way I'd have a Rib without one. Mines a hefty twin tube, tow anything jobby.

Yep....even my 4m has one. Without it my vhf and navlights would be next to useless.

Stops people falling into the prop too.

Some lovely kit on that site. Making an A frame should be a doddle for them.

I dont know what you call them, but I think frames that go over the console could be quite useful. IE:

Short cable runs for ariel, nav lights, gps, radar and something to hang on to.
Also a support for a boat cover to discourage pooling of water.

More seriously, you can mount a radar without having your brains in the line of fire, also you can use your nav lights without them lighting up your console and destroying your night vision.

A distinct advantage of an A frame on the back is your last attempt to grab something during an involuntary exit from the back of the boat.

£1280+ vat does seem a hell of a lot. I think that one like mine is £700ish +vat. It's a bit awkward though,rocking up at the Revenger factory with someone else's A-Frame and asking them to fit it and all the ancillaries to it.

Everyones given examples of what A frames can or can't do, I just think they look really cool

Reason I said 2 liferafts is because will be carrying 12 people - nowhere really to put the liferaft so I thought fitted to side of A frame - one of them would look stupid and unbalance the boat - hence 2x 6 man!!!

Apart from all the answers on here all ready my A frame has cleats and is ideal for tieing to a pontoon or mooring as the rope is higher than the tubes

well Kinda but not directly. They did the steelwork on my scorpion (stock scorpion items I think)

Either that or use the two hefty stainless tow-eyes in the transom.
