35 years with a two year stint in Montreal thrown in. Yes, I find it increasingly difficult to understand what UK people are talking about - as

-most Brits have crappy diction,
-Half the phrases used, seem to start with the "F" adjective
-most people seem to speak with their mouths half closed
-the vocabulary seems to have changed considerably

BUT Garfish seems to be more understandable than I first thought.

I find it easier to understand the yanks or wait for it - the Scots.
And as for manners..... forget it.

Jonathan
Well now that you've slagged off 90% of this board with your excellent diction and graceful manners........are there any other nuggets of well researched and constructed critisism you'd like to chuck around!?

As someone born into blue blood, educated to the highest levels that this country has to offer, circulated amongst the old money and given a strict god fearing upbringing.......I have honestly tried hard to see things from your point of view.......but too be honest I just can't shove my head that far up my own arse!

There you go just proves my point. It does'nt cost anything to be polite?
what was the phrase 'manners maketh man'?. So when roycurse starts]
talking about washing my ears and mouth out, do you honestly think that is polite?- and if you read my text you will see that i use the terms 'most' 'half'
and how you equate that to 90% with your blue blood education beats me.

IT WAS A JOKE !!!

For f**k sake - what is wrong with you - how many jokes have you told that were polite.

Do you remember nothing about living in England - if you come at someone saying that you find Scots and Yanks easier to understand - do you not expect some kind of humerous dig in return. (please dont take offence any americans or scotts - im trying to make things better not upset more people)

I would apologise for what ive said but to be quite honest you are being such a TWAT about it i dont think you deserve it.

I started off posting in this thread actually agreeing with you and meant no offence by telling you to wash your mouth out it was simply my way of humerously (well apparently not from your point of view) protesting to be told i was harder to understand than a scot or yank.

Any way i have no wish to continue arguing about it im sorry if in missunderstanding my humour you got upset.

I wasn't referring to your inane drivel, just a supposition that 90% of the people on this board are from the UK.

Ergo.....my education seems to be intact!
