Gray and myself have been out in our Zapcat most of the day, just bashing around in the solent! (pics and vids soon). Also had intrepid out, with my brother at the helm later on in the day.

Went out in to the solent from Emsworth. Beautiful flat waters and sunny skies until early afternoon.

I've just sailed to Cherbourg and back - Fantastic weather. Friday night was really mild, we spend an almost summery Saturday in Cherbourg, and left about 2am. Coming into the Solent it was dead flat.

On Saturday 17th Lynx, Sidney1 and Seahawk IV headed for Ventnor. The crossing was perfect ideal ribbing conditions and a steady cruising speed of 33 knots was maintained.
It was interesting to see the constuction work going on in Ventnor harbour . Pontoons at last so come summer this is going to be an interesting port of call.

From Ventnor we headed for Bembridge thinking that we could get something to eat. Anyway no where to berth so we just left and headed back to Littlehampton for some fish and chips. No photos cos Lukasz did not make the trip.

we launched off the cumbrian coast in the evening and then down into morecambe bay doing some night-time coxn training for the coastguard. One of the few frosts of the winter but the cold air gave excellent visibility-nice to be out without it blowing for a change-but even nicer to get in the vehicle afterwards and get the heater going.

yup that will be the 1, nice looking boat you have there. I like the teak trim.

How long did it take you to get back to gys? not long I would imagain. It was v.flat out there! But a biggish swell.

Yep, first day out in a long time. It was such a lovely day (Saturday) we launched in Rinville/Oranmore and headed out Galway Bay to Aran Islands.
It was a real spring day and there was only a little swell..
52 mile run total......

My boat is in a shed. The shed is buried in snow. The road to the shed has snowdrifts that look about 8' tall. The ramp has a 6' pile of frozen, dirty snow in front of it. Which doesn't matter, because there's a kilometre of ice between the ramp and open water. And the forecast is for another 25cm of snow tomorrow.

So no. I didn't go out today.

Ya I know. Pathetic isn't it. I've been trying to figure out how to flip my Hurricane over to use as a hovercraft, but I think I'd get a lot of drag from the self-righting rig!
