It's been a couple of months now since I've last worked on the hull, there's still a couple of bits to do, but in the meantime I've been working on the console:

1, Filled in all the holes

2, Made a plastic ring so that the new compass will fit

3, Trimmed the rough edges around the console and added a plastic trim.

4, Taped a piece of glass over the large hole and filled with gelcoat and then fibreglassed the inside

5, Recovered the seat

6, Fitted Yam gauges, new steering and an offshore 75 compass

I've also purshased a year 2000 Yam 40 PTT from BHG Marine

Thanks guys

Also thaks Ian M for the tip on using glass when filling a larger hole, I didn't have any glass laying around so I bought a picture frame from a pound shop and it worked a treat

We towed the rib back to my house tonight so I can finish it off here so it shouldn't be too long now

I'm planning on launching it at Lymington as soon as it's finished.

Almost there now:

1. Biffer made me a stainless steel control bracket to my specs, Thanks Biff you did an awesome job

2. Fitted an icom M411 VHF

3. Fitted a Garmin 72 Handheld GPS with the marine mount and connected it to the VHF via a data cable.

4. Wired everything up and ran the cables through the console.

5. Glued a strip of hypalon around the trunk to patch a couple of small holes. The hypalon was given to me by Nos, Thanks Nos

6. Fitted the outboard inc a Yamaha outboard lock.
