Oh how very droll

But a RIB called Rupert? Hmmmm makes me think of that chinless lot up the Thames and the Deauville Rally. Could it be? Surely not.....

Anyway, no thanks, just in case.

OK made some more enquiries.

Pascoe stuff looks nice but hull a bit flatter than others, so am leaving to one side for now.

Cougar R8 looks superb but maybe a touch too small and only 1 engine.

Revenger 29 looks favourite. Just had a long chat with Phil Morris and he has suggested a 29 without stepped hull, with twin o/board well, 80 gallon tank, deluxe console and sports seats at 26770 +VAT with 50mm A-frame at an extra 1281 +VAT. He suggests 2x225HP E-Tecs but says there are lots of other good options.

I plan to visit them next week and have a look, along with anything else suitable. They can offer me a sea trial but only in an inboard.

I can offer you a Parker 900 Baltic with either twin Mercury Verado 250/275 or even with twin diesel Mercruiser 320 with B1 drives, built to your spec.

Unfortunately can't offer you as yet a sea trial cos we have sold the Parker 900 Baltic twin diesel cabin rib but an open twin outboard version is being built for completion early March. You would have to travel to Poland for such trials

Ask why he says the 225 - the 250 is the same weight and size - may as well go the whole hog!!!

I'm guessing, but could the hull be rated to 450hp max? Either that or he'll do a deal on a pair of 225's and make more profit than selling 250's.
