I will put my Freelander 2 up against any other 4x4 towing a Ribcraft 585 full of camping gear plus SIB and engine up a very wet and slippery track,
Even I was surprised having had many Landrover s and with 25 years offroad driving experience

When I had my Freelander 2 I once towed a big Nissan 4x4 with a broken clutch and a horse box with a pair of nags in it up a hill, through a town to a car park - even the rossa was impressed. Would have been a great car if it had been a little more reliable,

Sorry Portholme.... just like Shaggy ..."it wasn't me!"
Freelander 2 ... not Freelander 1
Roof Box makes an annual appearance at Summer holiday time, and lives in the loft the rest of the year, no ribnet stickers on the car or anywhere else, and I seldom traverse the A14, and am not even in the UK currently.

BUT - Howdy ... and if whoever was driving the Landy was managing to keep up with your S3, then it was probably stolen from someone on here

If it was stolen it was being driven quite legally. Police are red hot on the road we were on and I got caught by a mobile camera two years ago. Embarrassingly I was driving my wife's mini convertible, with the roof off at the time. Caught red handed a hundred hard riding miles into hair dresser country!!
