Which RIB is the fastest?

I saw a picture of a hummer with a 41 fot RIB... So I decided that I need an open RIB.

Which is THE fastest RIB?

Im looking for the Xtreme Rib on the market... just speed and fun...

I do like jet engined RIBs, is this better then outbard, when it comes to speed and performance?

which brand should I choose... 25-35 fot is the size I want.

If you're serious about speed and have plenty of dosh, it's gotta be a Fabio Buzzi . Failing that, Mark Pascoe, Phantom Evo, Revenger or Scorpion.

If you mean water jet, there will be some power loss compared to more traditional out drives/outboards etc. You will gain on manouverability though.

If, however, you meant gas turbine powered - can I have a go please??? I will swim over to you if necessary.

Sadly if you are after a new rib then a Pascoe Sport Rib appears to be out of the question for the time being.

Regards.

I would say an SR9 from Mark Pascoe

http://www.sportrib.com/MPL_MainFrame.htm

One was stolen a while ago - caused quite a few comments in the press

http://www.sportrib.com/Libary/stolen%20paper.JPG

Basically they were worried about terrorists or drug runners getting hold of it - 90mph too fast to catch!!!

I'd agree Gareth Williams seems to be able to get one to go pretty damn fast!

Interestingly enough we have an Avon 8,4 with a 435 cat and a water jet (awesome boat) it was built as a demo for a trial by the US coastguard they deslined to buy the boat because it was to slow to catch the naughty boys and bought customised Buzzi's instead

Pete
Outsider!!!!!!!

The only way I MIGHT win that one would be for a given horsepower - the pro vee ribs are doing around 90 something I think .......... and the twin EFI or twin 300 hp 9m Pascoes would all be around 90 and I'm told it's not even scarey at that speed once you get used to it!

Merry Christmas everyone!
